The National Arboretum Canberra transforms into an outdoor art gallery in July. Knitted and crocheted scarves, created by volunteers, bring a spark of colour to the winter landscape. A living collection of 94 species of rare, endangered and significant trees planted like a patchwork quilt on hills overlooks Lake Burley Griffin. Supported by the embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands, this year’s theme includes tulips and bikes. See the trees of the National Arboretum, and the rest of the national collection, in Canberra.
